We grow flowers for our local community, for both public and trade customers. We are passionate about using sustainable growing practices and take pride growing without chemicals or peat. Our aim is to provide locally grown flowers to flower lovers all around us, therefore reducing the need for importing flowers from thousands of miles away.

We believe preparation is key, that’s why we spend hundreds of hours researching varieties to ensure we’re growing the very best flowers for our natural conditions here on the farm. We care passionately for our flowers and grow everything from seed, we think this adds to our flowers’ natural beauty and charm.
Grow sustainably
We understand the critical role we all play in protecting our planet and preserving its beauty for generations to come. Therefore growing with a low environmental impact on the farm is crucial to us. This includes; recycling materials, rainwater collection, ethical plastic use, no-dig and organic pest management. You can find more detail about our sustainability practices on our blog.
Protect and enhance wildlife
We’re avid animal lovers here at Moorfield Farm, so protecting and enhancing the local ecology is critically important to us. Our sustainable growing practices are centred around promoting wildlife. We never use agro-chemicals on the farm (chemical fertilisers and pesticides), and we also create habitats for a range of species. We have an array of insect, bird, aquatic and mammal life on the farm, from doves and kites, to shrews, rabbits, hens, and even a llama!
Share our enthusiasm
We want to share our knowledge and enthusiasm with as many people as we can, and hopefully encourage people to get outside and fall in love with plants and gardening. We also know we’re not alone in our environmental passions, and we want to share that with our community. That’s why we share as much of what we’re up to as possible, and we encourage you to do the same!
