Why More Florists Are Choosing British Wholesale Flowers – Sustainably Grown in Cheshire

At Moorfield Farm Flowers, we’ve seen first-hand how the appetite for British-grown, seasonal flowers has blossomed. Whether you're a florist working on weddings, events, or everyday bouquets, choosing British flowers isn’t just a trend — it’s a meaningful shift toward sustainability, seasonality, and supporting local growers.

Based in Bramhall, Cheshire, we supply a wide range of wholesale flowers to florists across the North West. Here’s a closer look at what we grow, how our wholesale service works, and why so many florists are making the switch to locally grown blooms.

Why Choose British Flowers for Your Floristry Business?

The benefits of British-grown flowers go far beyond aesthetics (though they are beautiful!). By choosing local blooms, you’re reducing air miles, avoiding the chemicals used to preserve imported stems, and embracing the charm of truly seasonal varieties.

You’ll find that British flowers are often more fragrant, more unique in form, and more in tune with the natural rhythms of the seasons — perfect for customers looking for something authentic and environmentally conscious.

What We Grow at Moorfield Farm Flowers

We grow over 200 varieties of cut flowers and foliage throughout the season, all using organic and sustainable methods. Our focus is on natural beauty, variety, and freshness — each stem is picked to order, ensuring you receive flowers at their absolute best.

Every week brings something new, and we’re always happy to tailor your buckets to suit a particular palette, brief or event.

Some of our most popular wholesale varieties include:

  • Ammi, cornflowers, nigella, and orlaya for airy, textural interest

  • Dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, and snapdragons for bold summer colour

  • Mint, fennel, grasses and flowering herbs for scent and movement

  • Hellebores, tulips and ranunculus in the early season

How Our Wholesale Flower Buckets Work

We offer buckets of fresh, seasonal flowers to trade customers for £40 each. Each bucket contains around 55–60 stems and includes a good mix of focal flowers, filler, foliage, and textured stems.

Florists are welcome to:

  • Collect from the farm (by arrangement)

  • Request delivery (minimum order applies for delivery – get in touch to check availability)

  • Specify colour palettes or let us choose a balanced seasonal mix for you

We also welcome standing orders for regular supply and can often reserve specific varieties for repeat clients.

Who We Work With

We’re proud to supply florists across Cheshire, Greater Manchester and beyond — from wedding specialists and boutique flower shops to freelancers working from home studios. We love collaborating with creatives who value seasonal, sustainable ingredients and appreciate the magic of locally grown flowers.

Whether you're looking for a one-off delivery or ongoing supply throughout the season, we’d be delighted to work with you.

How to Order

Ordering is easy — simply fill in our wholesale enquiry form, send us an email, or drop us a message on Instagram. We’re happy to chat through availability, colour schemes, or help you plan for upcoming weddings and events.

We also run occasional open days and tours for florists and trade customers — a chance to see what’s in bloom and connect with the land your flowers come from.
